  • They are the national bird of Trinidad/Tobago
  • Scarlet Ibises live in colonies of 30 to 1000 for protection
  • They also likes to be around other birds such as spoonbills and ducks for safety
  • Eats beetles, shrimps, insects, mollusks, small fish, crayfish, and amphibians
  • Lives about 16 years in the wild and 20 years in captivity.
